My first go to with a kit is always to cut down the bases. With the pretty butterfly cutouts I also decided to cut one apart. You'll see what I did with the small butterfly below!
When I first got the Notes of Cheer kit I did not plan to create any alternatives. The kit really is amazing all on its own! However, while working on the kit with a few customers I couldn't resist giving them some other ideas. My first go to with a kit is always to cut down the bases. With the pretty butterfly cutouts I also decided to cut one apart. You'll see what I did with the small butterfly below! Cutting a butterfly die cut in half also gave me a chance to do something a little different and only use half at the edge of the card. This card was when things really got fun! Using it as a stencil allowed me to create my own Designer Series Paper. The blending brushes are the perfect tool for this technique. You can easily add color by gently blending over your stencil. As I said, the kit is wonderful even without creating alternatives. It's a very easy to put together collection of cards. Be sure to check out all the kits available!
