Second, the egg looked like a flower to me! If you don't stamp the outlines it's a pretty flower.

I couldn't wait to get my December kit. I'm a sucker for a good pun and this kit did not disappoint. I started out creating one of each card as intended and then I started playing around. I ended up making 25 cards from one kit! There are plenty of pieces to let you get creative and try new designs with just a few extra pieces of card stock. The small piece of striped paper below the circle is from one of the envelopes. I cut one of each style of envelope apart and used the pattern on various cards. This one is pretty close to the sample. I decided that faces weren't always necessary! Which version do you like best? I love the mustache and both sayings. They are perfect for guy cards. Two things about this one. First, it uses the inside of an envelope for the main background. I love the soft stripes. Second, the egg looked like a flower to me! If you don't stamp the outlines it's a pretty flower. Another card using an envelope piece. So simple and basic but I love the bright red polka dots. Signing up for Paper Pumpkin is easy. This little turtle is too cute! With a matching punch he's easy to use as well.
This little turtle I stamped in Memento Black and his shell in Granny Apple Green. I then colored the rest of him with Sea Foam Blends.
I think I needed this set for the belated birthday sentiment especially! Those who know me, know that I'm ALWAYS late with birthday cards.
This one I stamped in Memento Black on Granny Apple Green and then added the shell in Granny Apple Green as well. The Pattern Party Hostess Paper Pack is the perfect addition to the card.
Don't miss the Tailor Made Tag dies as well. Found on page 166 they can get overlooked since they don't have a specific coordinating stamp set.

The bright bold colors and designs in this paper makes me smile. This Designer Series Paper (DSP) (along with the coordinating stamp set Berry Blessings) is a Sale a-Bration offering through the end of February. You can earn it for FREE with a $100 Stampin' Up! purchase. Shop here! It also coordinates with the Sweet Strawberry Bundle found in the January-June Mini Catalog.
Allowing the paper to do the work makes these very quick and easy cards to make. I'm also a sucker for a good pun!
TIP: When I get ready to heat emboss I like to do a lot at one time. I grab a stack of Basic Black scraps, my stamps and my Versamark and pull out the embossing powder and heat tool. Since it's a bit of work to get it all set up I prefer to make it count!
TIP: Cutting your 12x12 DSP to 4 x 5.25 pieces make it the perfect size for layering on a card front. It also gets me to use it instead of letting it pile up!
