Monday Montage 257

I can't believe it's almost April already. Time is flying by! Spring Break is here and I am so ready for it.

It's time for another Monday Montage Blog Hop and I'm featuring my Paper Pumpkin alternatives for this month. My March Paper Pumpkin did not disappoint. I loved that both the front and the backs of the cards were printed so I could cut them and create double the amount of cards.

The bonus stamp set included in this month's kit was great as well. I loved the images. This card is simple but so bright and cheerful.

Spring seems to have arrived early here and it's making ready for flowers to bloom. This new Flowering Zinnias suite is so pretty and the perfect thing to help me get ready while I wait for the real things.

One reason I love this new suite is that every year my mom plants more zinnia seeds than I can count and the result is months of gorgeous fresh flowers in every color you can imagine. This set makes me think of her! The colors in the Designer Series Paper are bright and cheery. I started creating right away when it arrived.

I love pairing pretty papers with the Perennial Postage dies. This would make a gorgeous postage stamp.

The coordinating embossing folder has wonderful images. I decided to only cover part of my card front with it. I spent some time fussy cutting a sheet of the flowers out so that I had them to use on my projects. The time was definitely worth it!

For this card I decided to use a larger piece (4 x 5 1/4) and layer it on the base but otherwise stuck with the same type of layout.

The sheets with the full rows of flowers are so easy to use to create a lot of cards at once. Simply cut it into six pieces of 4 x 5 1/4 for card front size or 3 1/4 x 5 if you want to add an additional card stock mat.

I often forget about the idea of stamping on Designer Series Paper but it can look so nice and it's such an easy technique.

February 2024 Sweet Springtime Paper Pumpkin alternatives

It took me awhile to get to the February Paper Pumpkin kit but it did not disappoint once I started working with it. The images are so cute and sweet. I love that they don't have to be Easter themed but could be. I don't send a lot of Easter cards so was happy to create some sweet "springtime" cards I can send.

These little chicks are the cutest!

One of the original designs in the kit is for some small treat boxes. I didn't need any so I cut them up to use the pieces in the my cards. The scallop edges on this one came from the box.

I remembered to stamp directly on the paper again! It's such a simple and cute technique that I forget to utilize.

I paired some of the leftover pieces together on this card and pulled out the new Online Exclusive stamp set called Comforting Thoughts. It's a really great stamp set with sentiments that I will be using a lot.
