November Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

Here are my alternatives for this month! This kit is adorable and perfect for gift giving. I'll admit the pieces are pretty big for putting on a traditional sized card so I tried to think of some other ideas.

For my gift card holder I cut the bottom portion of the gift bag off and adhered it to the front of the tree to create the pocket. The present was cut from the stack of presents and added to the tag.

I used the remaining part of the gift bag to create a bag for the candies. Add the candies and tie off both ends with twine!

For the next two cards I cut apart the stack of presents and used them to create very simple cards. A little fussy cutting around the sentiment on this one and it was ready to go.

This is truly a simple card. I wanted a smaller card to allow the present to take up more of the space. I used a 4.25 x 4.25 card base.

I'm so excited for the December kit. I love a good pun!

Monday Montage 202

I'm excited to be doing something new. I was invited to be part of an amazingly talented group of fellow stampers who do a regular blog hop. Admission: I've never done one before!

For my project today I wanted to show a way to use the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper in a non holiday card.

As I looked closely at the patterns I realized that this particular design had an image that paired perfectly with the Enjoy the Moment set.

I did do some fussy cutting of the main image which I know is not always a favorite! However, I love how it looks cropped and popped up.

I often create my backdrop by using the same color ink on the same color card stock and stamping a phrase in opposite corners.

Some linen thread and the Night of Navy rhinestones from the Holiday Basics Jewels are the perfect embellishments to finish off the card.

What a Year Memories and More Card

I got carried away when I started playing with this set of cards! They make it SO easy to create very quick and easy cards. The color palette is gorgeous and was perfect for showing off lots of our amazing colors.

This group shot gives you an idea of how many I made in my first sit down!

Layering this card on the die cut was a happy accident. The die cut frame was laying on my desk from a previous project and it was the perfect size and color to add to this card. This sentiment is also one of my current favorites. It was part of a host set during Sale a bration.

Cutting a 3 x 4 card into thirds created the focal point for this card.

This one doesn't even require stamping! I used scraps from the other rainbow stripes I had done and cut out the words on one of the cards.

Again, no stamping required but what an amazing sentiment.

This time I cut squares from a larger card.

Another fun saying!

Final no stamping design. Simple but straightforward message!

Holiday Cards for 2021

Every year I try to hold at least one "fancier" holiday card class. One where we use techniques, fun folds and lots of products. Here are this year's cards.

First up was a simple but gorgeous card using the Happy Holly-days stamp set plus dies and some blending. This did require a little fussy cutting which earned me some dirty looks! I loved the addition of the gold Simply Elegant Trim and the Gilded Gems.

This next fun fold card was created by my friend the Stamp Doc/Melissa Stout. I loved her design and couldn't wait to share with my customers.

When folded on the score line it becomes an easel card!

The Words of Cheer bundle offers so many opportunities for gorgeous cards. In fact, I created a whole class around this suite! Contact me if you'd like more information on purchasing a packet and/or PDF.

For this one I added in some blending on the background using the Blending Brushes and the Adorning Designs Decorative Masks. A little vellum and some silver accents and it's ready. Everyone preferred the fact that this one had a die so no fussy cutting required!

I love creating patterns with the Stitched Triangles. I utilized the beautiful Peaceful Prints Sale a Bration paper we just offered. Although you can't get it any more this card could easily be recreated with any of our wonderful holiday Designer Series Papers.
