Monday Montage 256

Spring seems to have arrived early here and it's making ready for flowers to bloom.  This new Flowering Zinnias suite is so pretty and the perfect thing to help me get ready while I wait for the real things. 

One reason I love this new suite is that every year my mom plants more zinnia seeds than I can count and the result is months of gorgeous fresh flowers in every color you can imagine.  This set makes me think of her! The colors in the Designer Series Paper are bright and cheery.  I started creating right away when it arrived. 

I love pairing pretty papers with the Perennial Postage dies.  This would make a gorgeous postage stamp. 

The coordinating embossing folder has wonderful images.  I decided to only cover part of my card front with it.  I spent some time fussy cutting a sheet of the flowers out so that I had them to use on my projects.  The time was definitely worth it! 

For this card I decided to use a larger piece (4 x 5 1/4) and layer it on the base but otherwise stuck with the same type of layout. 

The sheets with the full rows of flowers are so easy to use to create a lot of cards at once.  Simply cut it into six pieces of 4 x 5 1/4 for card front size or 3 1/4 x 5 if you want to add an additional card stock mat. 

I often forget about the idea of stamping on Designer Series Paper but it can look so nice and it's such an easy technique.
