I hope everyone had a great holiday season. We are putting away our tree today which is always sad for me. I love having it up and being able to enjoy the lights in the evenings.
Now that it is January we have a new Mini Catalog and it's Sale a Bration time! One of my favorite suites in the new mini catalog is the Bee Mine suite. I love the fun, bright and cheery colors in the papers and the fun sentiments in the stamp set. Plus, I'm a sucker for a good pun.
For the first two cards I was using up scraps of DSP that were sitting on my desk! I love when I can put them to good use and get them out of the ever growing pile that I always seem to have.
This card is one that was part of the to go Bee Mine class I offered free with an order this past week. I'll be offering more of these classes going forward!
One trick I learned with the bee stamps is that I found it easier to stamp the black stripes first and then stamp the solid body color. Once I started stamping in that order I had better luck lining them up. This is a pretty simple layout but I wanted a card that did not use the DSP in the suite to show another look for the stamps.
