Flowering Rain Boots Bundle

This past year I have had the honor to serve on the Great Lakes Demonstrator Council for Stampin' Up! I've served with four other talented demonstrators who I have learned so much from. We met at least once a month and worked on a couple of projects with Stampin' Up! and our fearless leader, Shannon West.

Our final project was a five week online training course for other demonstrators.  We covered topics on how to find new customers through various online and social media channels.  As a bonus/thank you for those who did their weekly "homework" we hosted a PJ crafting party and each shared a project using new products from the upcoming January to June Mini Catalog.  This blog hop will take you through all of our projects!

I used the new Flowering Rain Boots bundle to create this card gift set.
Picture
I created two versions of the same card switching up the colors.  I used Highland Heather, Pear Pizazz and Mossy Meadow.

On this one I used the new Gingham Embossing Folder on the 4 x 5 1/4 card stock panel.
Picture
For this one I even switched out the background panel and used the 6x6 Designer Series Paper Assortment instead of the embossed card stock.

The watering can is stamped directly on the basic white die panel but the flowers were die cut so I could layer them every so slightly over the top of the watering can.
Picture
I wanted to create a fun package for gifting this set of cards.  Using one of the Tailor Made Tags I die cut the tag from a piece of basic white card stock I embossed with the Gingham Embossing Folder.  I stamped the rain boots on a piece of Highland Heather 6x6 Designer Series Printed Paper and die cut them out.  For the sprigs I used the Sprig Punch and Pear Pizazz card stock. The ribbons are the Highland Heather 1/2 in Grosgrain and the the retiring 3/16 Mossy Meadow Braided Trim.

The ribbon on the acetate card box is the new White Frayed Ribbon.

Let me know what you think of the projects.  The sneak peek items will all be available starting January 4th!

Monday Montage 204

It's another Monday Montage!  Glad you stopped by.

I've been so focused on holiday cards lately but I needed some quick thank you cards for a number of people so I pulled out these two designs--and a bonus card! If you like quick and easy designs then these are for you.

This first design is using scraps of 1.5 x 4 inch strips.  I usually have lots of these left from cutting my 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper down to card front size so I love a design that takes advantage of them.  Layer them at angles and top with a cute die cut or punch piece with sentiment and you have cards! I added a little twine or linen thread to each for something extra.
Picture
This next design uses a piece of 4 x 3 Designer Series Paper.  I cut it in half and adhered it to the card stock base leaving a slight gap that I covered with ribbon.  After that, simply add your sentiment on a die cut piece and it's done.

While I was creating with the Colors and Contours suite I decided I needed to do one stepped up card.  I couldn't resist.

Have you noticed the cool feature with this die?  It cuts slits on the sides and you can slide ribbon through it!
Picture
I used Pale Papaya for my flower and the ribbon, also Pale Papaya, is a sneak peek from the upcoming catalog! It's part of a cotton ribbon combo pack.

Here's a closer look at the fun feature on this die.

Daffodil Afternoon

Do not miss your chance to earn this Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper (DSP) in January.  It needs to be at the top of your Sale a Bration list because it is that amazing. Check out how EASY these cards are to make because of how beautiful the paper is.

This card uses a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of the DSP along with a 4 x 1 1/2 scrap (that is leftover when you cut the paper down to the 4 x 5 1/4 size!).  The only stamping is the sentiment making it a super quick card to create.  Add some ribbon and embellishments for some extra bling and done!
Picture
This one utilizes 2 x 2 squares for the focal point.  I also cut apart the Happy Birthday.  Another very simple card to create.

Click here for a full tutorial.

I can't get over the colors in the paper!
Picture
You can create six of these cards with one piece of 12x12 paper.  Cut to the same 4 x 5 1/4 size mentioned above, wrap ribbon and tie in a bow and then adhere to your base.  Add a sentiment and the cards are done.
Picture
I needed a lot of birthday cards so these came in very handy.

No supply list yet since these items aren't available for purchase/earn until January.  However, if you join Stampin' Up! now you can pre-order!

Monday Montage 203

Thanks for joining us on another Monday Montage Blog Hop.  I can't stop making cards with the new Rainbow of Happiness bundle and the Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I've shared a few the past few days and I saved this one to share today on our hop.

All of these items will be available in January with the new January to June Mini and Sale a Bration. Until then you get to drool over all my samples!
Picture
One of my favorite new techniques I learned recently was to pull apart my twine! I love the messy look that it makes when you tie it in a bow.

The main piece of Designer Series Paper is cut to 4 x 5 1/4 which is my go to for cutting my pretty papers.  It gives a perfect border with your card stock base and by cutting at 4 inches it's an even number allowing you to get even more cuts out of the piece.

I used scraps for the other small banners and the rainbow pieces were left from cutting out the small rainbow die.

Rainbow of Happiness

Are you ready for a sneak peek of new product coming in January?

I am having so much fun with the new Rainbow of Happiness bundle. Paired with the Sunshine & Rainbows Sale a Bration Designer Series Paper (which you can earn for free in January) it makes easy and adorable cards.  My favorite kind!
Picture
Both of these are so simple.  The card on the left is a simple die cut on a piece of the Designer Series Paper (DSP).  Adhere to card front and stamp your sentiment.  Done!

The second is a CASE from a sample in the Sale a Bration brochure.  I changed it up a little by cutting the DSP to 4 x 5 1/4 and layering on a card stock base.
Picture
This card showed me I needed to re-ink many of my ink pads!  I still like how it looks but that is not full ink coverage for sure.  I love that our inks can be reinked so you don't have to keep buying new ones.

It's another easy layout but I like the look of adding velum over DSP to give a muted look.
Picture
Adding the white 4 x 5 1/4 panel to the black panel gives it a pop against the white card stock base. I did fussy cut the clouds from the DSP because I did not have the new cloud punch yet.

All of these cards make me happy.  I love rainbows and bright colors! No supply list since the items aren't available for purchase until January but I hope you enjoy the sneak peek.
